Life Continues after Death

There are several ways to overcome the grieving process and to continue with living.  Survive an hour at a time and then try a day at a time.  Remember to take care of yourself and pamper yourself.  This doesn't mean that you need to go on a shopping spree, but you need to remember to eat and allow yourself to get or do something that brings you joy.

There is always hope; you just need a little faith in yourself.  If you are a religious person, get involved with a place of worship. If you like to write, it is recommended to keep a journal of past memories and current events.  When writing about the past include your current feelings.  A new hobby can help, and it can also keep you busy.  Keeping busy can make it easier to heal, instead of sitting around doing nothing.

It is acceptable to cry, when you have a good memory of your loved one.  It can bring you sadness, but it can also bring you joy from the happy memory.   A loss of a loved one does not mean you forget about them.  They will always be with you in your heart and mind.   You will always have some form of grief, but learning how to deal with grief can help you.  As you deal with your grief, you might want to share your experience in a group.    A support group can help you and you can help others too.  Sometimes by helping others we actually help ourselves without realizing it.
