Support for Chemotherapy

Finding support for chemotherapy is not hard to find on the internet. But you do need to make sure the statements being made are factual and accurate. There are many areas of chemotherapy that are covered online.

One are that is covered online is dealing with the side effects of chemotherapy. Start with consulting your doctor first and the nurses that give the treatment. Then find some local groups online that relate to your symptoms or diagnosis. Always try to work with your doctor and let him know what you would like to do so there are less complications with the treatment.

Going through the process of chemotherapy can produce a roller coaster of emotions; not to mention the physical toll chemotherapy can have on the body.  Most common complaints are nausea, fatigue, loss of taste, loss of appetite, and loss of vision. These symptoms vary depending on the person and type of cancer. There are different remedies suggested to help reduce the side effects of chemotherapy. Mostly it is a trial and error system to find what might work to reduce the side effects for each individual, because what may work for one person may not work for another.

Support sites say to surround yourself with friends and family as much as you can but also find time for yourself to reflect too. Exercise is shown to help reduce fatigue but will not eliminate it. You may have some concerns on aspects such as financial, spiritual, work, family, medical supplies, hospice and home health services. Talking with trained service professionals will help answer many questions.
